The Gala Event of the Academy of Fine Arts

The gala event of The Academy of Fine Arts will take place on the 27th of October 2011 in the andel's Hotel (Lodz, 17 Ogrodowa Street). During the event, this year's most successful graduates of The Department of Textile and Fashion will present their designs to the public. Special invitations only.

ALEKSANDRA KMIECIK

Finalist of the Golden Thread 2009, she participated in the Best Diplomas Exhibition 2011 in the Central Museum of Textiles. Kmiecik showcased her collection during May 2011 edition of Fashion Philosophy in Designer Avenue module and participated in CPD Signature Fair in Düsseldorf.

OLGA MIELOSZYK

Winner of the Art&Fashion Festival 2010 in the Fashion Drawing category, Fashion Designer Awards and Lexus Fashion Awards semifinalist. Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Porto (Portugal) scholarship holder, she also attended the summer school of Central Saint Martin College of Art and Design in London. 

The ORANGERY collection. Supervisor: dr hab. Sylwia Romecka. Shoe collection Supervisor: prof. Irmina Aksamitowska Szadkowska. Collections has Gare de Oriente railway station in Lisboa as a source of inspiration. Modular nature of the building is reflected in the ways the clothes are constructed, and the predominant colors are orange, navy, pink and grey.
