FASHION FILM FESTIVAL
This Autumn, Fashion Philosophy Fashion Week will be accompanied by the next edition of Fashion Film Festival. This time, the festival formula has been amended by Michal Kowalski, who makes a reference to the Fashion in Motion project which took place in December 2012 in PkiN, Warsaw. Fashion in Motion participants included Lukasz Zietek, Kuba Kosak, Michał Kar, Agnieszka Maciejak and others. Our event aims at developing this project and bringing it to a new level.
In May, FW participants had the chance to attend Diane Pernet's “A Shaded View On Fashion Film ASVOFF”, which received vast media attention. This time, we will have the chance to watch various productions of Polish film-makers.
The festival welcomes all film-makers – during in the entire registration process, everybody could send their projects to enter the event. The films were selected by Fashion Philosophy Programme Board:
Ewa Krajewska – fashion journalist, TV presenter, stylist, fashion expert. While living in Paris, she worked for Chanel, Matis and Jacques Dessange. Krajewska participated in and hosted many TV programmes, such as “Moje ciuchy” makeover show for TVN and Polsat's “Sie Kreci” devoted to Polish designers. Co-founder of the International Fashion and Design Institute cooperating with ESMOD Paris.
Magdalena Wroblewska – works in the History of Arts Institute of the University of Warsaw where she teaches history of photography and modern art. She has been published in many titles such as “Ikonotheka”, “Image&Narrative", she also published group projects such as “Bialostocki” and “Interpreting Photography”. Wroblewska is a critical writer at “Arteon” and the chairman of “Ars Auro Prior” at IHS UW.
Filip Niedenthal – graduate of The London College of Fashion, previosly worked in “VIVA”, former fashion director at “Twoj Styl”. He is the editor-in-chief of “Podroze” and co-founder of “Katedra Mody” in Warsaw.
Michał Kowalski – president of the Good Design Foundation, founder of the first fashion-related short film festival, fashion show producer ( i.e. at Zamek Krolewski, Warsaw).
